Cable News Twitter Ratings for Tuesday, February 25, 2014

The second day of MSNBC’s new shows, Ronan Farrow Daily and The Reid Report, saw a drop in engagement on Twitter as you might expect.  Their numbers were typical for mid-day MSNBC shows, so there should be no disappointment in their overall ratings.

E! News scored a double win for the day with best hour and best day.

The Kelly File had a surprisingly strong showing on Tuesday as well, just nosing past the somewhat social media adverse Rachel Maddow Show, and Kelly’s show had a remarkable 50-50 split in its gender balance (remarkable for Fox News, at least).

Cable News Twitter Ratings for Monday, February 24, 2014 — Reid and Farrow Bows

Monday saw the launch of two new MSNBC shows, “Ronan Farrow Daily” and “The Reid Report”.  In terms of which had better engagement, it was a split decision:  The Reid Report had more mentions during its broadcast hour, while Ronan Farrow Daily has more mentions throughout the day.

No show (MSNBC’s or any other network’s) topped Chris Hayes in mentions during the broadcast hour, although Farrow had the most mentions throughout the day of any MSNBC show.  Across all networks, Anderson Cooper and Sean Hannity had the most mentions during the day.
