Cable News Trending Topics for 2014-01-22

What’s happening all over? I’ll tell you what is happening all over.
Guys sitting home before the television set who used to be something of a rover.
That is what’s happening all over.

Not a whole lot grabbed the attention of Cable News views on Wednesday, with no dominate theme showing up in the Twitter conversation.  So much so that The Colbert Report got the most mentions during a broadcast on Wednesday, which is unusual for a couple of reasons.  First, the show is not live, so there isn’t a feeling of a real-time conversation; you never see tweets on the Chyron like with more avant-garde shows. Second, the show is only a half-hour long, and so it has to have twice the intensity of mentions to compete with hour-long shows.

I guess it was just a slow news day…

Top Shows for the day:

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan continues to mix it up on Twitter, and as a result he has the most mentions during the day…
