April ended on a strong day for The Ed Show, breaking the 2K mentions during its broadcast. Only E! News managed to come close, and they’re kind of in a different category of news.
Fox News’ new “Outnumbered” has managed to swing is mentions even more strongly male, making it clear that, whatever the hopes were that the show would be a female friendly hour, it has turned out the opposite.

The Ed Show has the best hour on Tuesday, which is not a surprise.
What is a surprise is that Fox News’ “Outnumbered”, which pits four women against a male challenger each day, draws a heavily male crowd of commenters on Twitter. Supposedly, this was to be Fox News’ female friendly show, and yet women are not really commenting on it. Perhaps they’re all content with the show as is? Or perhaps the audience is skewing male regardless? I guess we’ll see as time goes by…

The Colbert Report scored top engagement on Monday with 1943 mentions during its half-hour broadcast. If you don’t consider it to be a news show (fair enough), then The Ed Show’s 1702 mentions is your winner of best hour. E! News managed to get the most mentions throughout the day.
