The Ed Show returns to the top of the leaderboard for Wednesday, while E! News managed to win the most tweets overall. CNN keeps playing schedule mix-up, hoping to find the right combination of shows and trying to recreate the ol’ Blackfish magic (which it never does).

Cable News Twitter Ratings for Tuesday, March 11, 2014 – Farrow gets the Colbert Bump
The irony: Ronan Farrow appeared on The Colbert Report last night and that show got more than 10 times the mentions, in a half hour, than Ronan Farrow Daily received earlier in the day. Enough mentions, in fact, to give The Colbert Report a best (half-) hour win for the day. Perhaps there’s just more millennials watching TV 11:30 at night than 1pm in the afternoon?
Cable News Twitter Ratings for Monday, March 10, 2014 – Lemon and Tyson
Monday saw the launch of The Don Lemon Show, part of CNN’s attempt to rapidly re-invent itself. Unfortunately, the show was out-tweeted by both The Last Word as well as Hannity, leaving in in third place ahead of only the hapless Al Jazeera.
The Colbert Report‘s guest, Neil deGrasse Tyson, proved to be a winner for that show, garnering more tweets in a half-hour than any other cable news show did in a full hour. Maybe Don Lemon should have Mr. Tyson on his show…

A surprisingly quiet day on Twitter. The Melissa Harris-Perry Show had the best hour, but at a level far below historical norms. Meanwhile, Fox News’ Judge Jeanine had a very strong hour. Sean Hannity had a strong day overall, even if any of his reruns didn’t generate huge activity themselves.
