After Saturday’s block-buster revelations about the Christie administration’s arm-twisting of Hoboken’s mayor, other topics returned to the conversation about cable news on Twitter Sunday.  Nonetheless, both Up with Steve Kornacki and the Melissa Harris-Perry Show triggered huge volumes of conversation on Twitter throughout the day.

While The Ed Show had the best hour during the day, there was something more interesting afoot yesterday.  This tweet:

Got retweeted so many times (over 18K times at the time I took the screen shot) that it twitter bombed the tag cloud for the day.  It may end up putting AC 360 in the top spot for today (1/17).

It’s an example of how social media can be overcome by waves of tweets (and retweets) that drown out other conversations, but in the long run don’t really have a lasting meaning or impact.
